About us

The laboratory of Soft Materials started on August 1st 2014, the professsorship of the head of the laboratory, Prof. Jan Vermant, wass endowed by external page Sika on the occasion of their 100-year anniversary. Within the Soft Materials laboratory Prof. Theo Tervoort  is the expert on polymer mechanics, polymer processing and continuum modelling  and Dr. Kirill Feldman is the wizard on getting the experimental setups running, from fine interfacial experiments to polymer processing. He helps the postdocs and graduate students in getting things done.

The laboratory for Soft Materials is affiliated to the Institute of Polymers, and is part of the department of Materials.
