Every year we make something christmassy related to our research. Below you see a showcase of the creativity of our collaborators.
2022 - this should be a moving tree, 3D printed hydrogel with internal hierarchical structure
2019-2020: an xray scattering imagefrom a polymer fiber.
2019-2020: a biofilm shaped like santa.
2018-2019: Santa (or Schmutzli) climbing a shish kebab structure in a UHMPE fiber and snowman structure magically appearing in thinning polymer films (with the help of some photoshop)
2017-2018 : Fractal processed Christmas tree
2016-2017 : PArticle stabilized bubbles (and some photoshop)
2015-2016 : Phase separation in lipid bilayers (and some photoshop) were used to generate micrometer sized snowflakes.
2014-2015 : Stop flow lithography was used to make 50 micrometer high christmas trees
